One Weak Link Will Break Your Production Chain

By George L. Rosario, CEO & Founder at GC Rosario Group

Have you ever watched a team that is absolutely killing it on the field and then one person comes up to bat or pitch and totally throws the game away? What was that player's attitude?

Have you ever watched a company driven into the ground when hard times come because an unprofessional team member (or leader) drops the ball at the most critical point? What was that company member's attitude?

Have you ever watched a great day be turned into a miserable day by someone who comes into a room and drains it of all energy? What was that person's attitude?

The overwhelmingly common denominator in many scenarios where a team fails is the negative person, or negative people.

As a consulting professional, I love to go in, roll up my sleeves, hang out with the members of the team and give them a voice. I like to spend two weeks with the team, observing them, helping them with their jobs, stepping into their environment, adopting their daily schedule and becoming a member of their team. This is the best way to learn about what works, what doesn't and who may be the weakest gift.

I have never been a fan of consultants who go into a company, read letters & words in company manuals, go through company emails, study systems and speak to the leadership, but they never take the time to study the people who are responsible for putting these things into practice.

Spending two weeks with your team members is always the easiest way to learn about your team's dynamics. Now of course, the leadership of any organization has many daily responsibilities so dropping those to spend two weeks on responsibilities you hired people to do may be counterproductive. But, when you hire GC Rosario Group, this is exactly what you get.

What do we learn when doing an overhaul of your team?

We learn to spot the weakest link. We learn to address the weakest link. We learn how to support the whole production chain by strengthening, equipping and empowering the weakest link. We do this by experiencing what they experience on a daily basis, and then helping the negative people find something to be positive about.

Of course, without leadership's support, nothing will change. We may leave your team super motivated, but if leadership does not address the issues that are causing the negativity, the motivation will wear off. So as a professional consulting firm, we believe a consultant's job is to pinpoint trouble areas and make suggestions on an action plan that will correct the trouble areas. If management is open to these suggestions and implements them, they will see a positive change. If they are not open, then I hope they simply save their money and do not hire us.

See, we are not magicians. There is no magic consultation pill that can solve all of a company's issues. But with an ongoing relationship and an open mind, we can all improve an organization's positivity meter. All it takes is an outside view, an internal shift and a cooperative environment to make it work.

CONCLUSION:

A company's production chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Know what yours is and do something to correct that weakness. Don't wait until you break under pressure.

The Power of The Words We Say… To Ourselves

There is a huge difference between starting a sentence or a comment with the words “I feel” and “I am.” How use these two phrases in our sentences and our expressions will make a huge difference in our lives. I would go as far as to say that they can make you or break you. After all, death and life are in the power of the tongue ( Proverbs 18:21 ). I have worked for m a ny years with broken men, broken teams, broken churches and organizations, broken companies, and some large corporations that are truly broken. I have even worked with broken politicians in office, and broken criminals in jail, and some of you right now may be thinking there’s not much of a difference between the two. I know within minutes whether or not I will be able to help a person or team’s situation. This is why I provide a free of cost,  complementary 30 minute consultation  for anyone who is seeking the services of  GC Rosario Group . Better Equipment Is Useless Without The Right Skillset

Top 10 Essential Qualities of Leadership

Needless to say, there are plenty of people who have adopted the title of "leader" who do not deserve that title. Many have abused the title because they have no idea what that actually means. Others simply took on roles in leadership to feed their own egos, wants and needs. A leader is not necessarily a boss. As a matter of fact, all the greatest leaders I've met in my life detested being called a leader. They understood that a true leader serves the people he leads. He is not focused on his own self-interests but rather on the needs of the people he leads. Leaders are responsible for shaping our nation, our policies, our communities, our families, our organizations and our marketplace. They are not called to shape these by force or with tyrannical practices, but rather with empathy, care, respect, and a serving heart. Leaders do not boss people around. Leaders lead through example. I think it goes beyond saying that we need good leaders in our world today. We need good ...
