How To Overcome Week # 2 New Year’s Resolution Blues?

Every year, millions of people in the United States and around the world make New Year’s   resolutions. The goal of these resolutions is to set new goals like making more money, finding a new, more rewarding job, working out and improving one’s health, mending broken relationships, saying goodbye to some toxic relationships, and living better, more fulfilling lives. These are just some of the goals people set for themselves. Having done some research, the top three goals set by people are make more money (or find a better job), get fit (join a gym and stick with it), and find love (a husband or a wife). Did you know? It’s only the second week of a New Year and many people are already feeling the pressure of keeping their New Year’s resolution, while others are already feeling the guilt of failing to keep their New Year’s resolution. While this can be discouraging, did you know only 7% of people keep all their resolutions for the year, while 19% only kept some of the resoluti...

Collection Plate Churches Often Go Broke

The days of passing the collection plate around in order to fund a church and it’s outre a ch projects are long behind us. As a matter of fact, the churches that are constantly and vocally asking their members for money are simply losing membership to other seemingly well funder churches that do not focus so much on constantly harassing their members to give. Electricity, heat, water, supplies, staff, rent, real estate fees, etc. all cost money. One cannot simply pretend that a church without funds can survive in today’s world where we are charged “x” amount of dollars if we sneeze. So if the collection plate is out, how do we get our members to commit to a tithe and freely give above the tithe to...

Everyday Common Expressions With Bible Origins

Did you know that hundreds, maybe even thousands of expressions used in normal, every day conversation originated from The Holy Bible? Even the most adamantly atheist or agnostic individual has used at least one or two of these common phrases in the last month. Some may even recognize one they’ve used today. Since no one wants to be on here rea d ing for days, I will limit the number of expressions & phrases in this post to 18. I’ll label this one Part I (1–18) and if you want more, I’ll write Part II (19–36), Part III (37–54) and so on. I’ll keep each part limited to just 18 idioms, phrases, expressions and metaphors to make it easier to read. I’ll also provide a  link  in each new part to the previous ones. You can also subscribe to our  newsletter  for special announcements. Why specifically eighteen? Because that is a number that has special meaning for my Kingdom Queen Claudia and I, so I figured it would be a nice, little, not-so-secret tribute to ou...
