I believe that when we speak about something with faith and conviction, we can speak it into reality. So I am speaking about Café CYA before we even open it to prove that this is true. It is 12:37 pm on 12/22/2021. I have not told anyone about the Café CYA plans except for my own team of consultants (full disclosure, I am a business consultant myself with GC Rosario Group).
Some of you may have heard about The Secret, the 2006 Australian-American documentary film demonstrating the New Thought claim that you can have anything you want if you just believe it and visualize it before you have it. The film was a huge hit. Others have read the book by the same name, The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. Some have watched all the interviews with celebrities and experts who swear by it. I have a little secret* of my own. I don’t believe in the Law of Attraction and The Secret have no power over the true power of my Father in Heaven. My God is the real secret & the real law. Business people and entrepreneurs know a book that has been described as the “Businessman’s Bible.” As a matter of fact, if I give you the title of the book, you will know the author. Likewise, if I give you the author’s name, you will immediately think of the book. That author’s name is Napoleon Hill and the title of the book is Think and Grow Rich. I have a secret about the correct way of thinking to generate growth* and prosperity as well. I’ve read Think and Grow Rich several times. I see a lot of Christian influence in the writings of the book, but I also understand that my way of thinking and prospering lies in my God, and through Him alone. Keep reading.
Many of you may have heard of or even read the 1952 book The Power of Positive Thinking: A Practical Guide to Mastering the Problems of Everyday Living by Norman Vincent Peale. This book focused on using a biblical approach to positive thinking as a way of giving the reader a positive attitude towards everyday life. I personally like this book because of the call for visualization and positive affirmations. When the book first came out, it was met with lots of negative reviews from educated people who said it was not based on scientific facts or proven psychological or medical techniques towards achieving an optimal state of being. I wonder how these educated people would describe Jesus’ miracles. The Gospels tell of miracles that defy the laws of science and medicine when performing healing and provision multiplication miracles. These were performed when Jesus simply spoke a positive word over people. The general public received Peale’s book well, and it continues to be a very popular book in the self-help genre today.
I don’t know where your beliefs are, or whether you believe that positive thinking and visualization can produce positive results in your life. I for one believe there is truth in it. As a Bible reading and Holy Scripture living Christian, I have to believe these to be true. There are truths about visualization and speaking truth to your desires in both the Old and New Testament. If it was wrong to visualize things and write them down (vision boards), then Habakkuk 2:2, Revelation 1:19, Jeremiah 30:2, would make no sense.
There is two things missing in the book and the movie The Secret that I believe is the real secret to being blessed by God for the desires of your heart. That first is faith that it is in and through God, the Alpha and Omega that we receive visions of things that are not in this world yet. I believe God puts the idea in our mind and heart, and calls us to let His Word guide our path, to write the vision down, to speak it into existence, and to share it with others (2 Peter 1:21, Psalm 119:105, Jeremiah 30:2).
The second thing missing from The Secret is the truth that we then, after writing these things down and visualizing them and believing them, we have to bring them back to God as a request, in faith and thanksgiving. Bring them back to the foot of the cross and believe that we will receive them from Our Father (Matthew 21:22, John 15:7, Matthew 7:7, 1 John 3:22, Psalm 23, James 4:3, 1 John 5:14, Luke 11:9, Psalm 2:8, Mark 11:24, Psalm 37:4, John 15:16, John 16:24, Philippians 4:6, John 14:13, James 1:5, John 14:14, Luke 11:13, Matthew 18:19, Ephesians 3:20, Jeremiah 33:3, Hebrews 4:16). It’s not enough for us to write things down, speak them out and talk to others, and put them into a blog post like this one, and all of that.
So I finish with Psalm 16:5–9;
5 O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup;
You maintain my lot.
6 The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;
Yes, I have a good inheritance.
7 I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel;
My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
8 (Acts 2:25–28)I have set the Lord always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will rest in hope.
This to me is deliverance, prosperity, healing, counsel wisdom, jubilee, debt cancellation, and sets me up with a firewall where no one who doesn’t believe can come close to breaking the anointing that God has placed on my dream. God gave me a vision that I will own a care called Café CYA, a coffee spot that is designed to give you “Coffee You Appreciate.” A safe place for people to come and engage in good, life giving conversation with each other to lead us all to a better, more united existence, in honor and under the grace of God. Our goal is to provide a place that is free of judgment, where we come together to discuss current issues and approach them from a Biblical point of view. This will not only be open to Christians, but to all those who are seeking and would like to learn more about The Way.
All the above mentioned scripture has links to the verses in the NKJV. I chose to conclude with Ephesians 1:11 in the Amplified Version. “In Him also we have received an inheritance [a destiny — we were claimed by God as His own], having been predestined (chosen, appointed beforehand) according to the purpose of Him who works everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His will.” And in Ephesians 3:20, also in the Amplified version is reads, “Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us.” God showed me Café CYA because he predestined it for me, my family and The Rosarios future generations. As with all our business endeavors, we will tithe 10% to our church and give an additional 10% to a worthy Christian cause.
Now the visualization begins. I will be preparing a vision board for Café CYA. I will plan out everything about this Café together with my Genesis 2:18 Kingdom Queen Claudia. She will help me design the interior, the menu, the logo, the vision for it. You may be saying to yourself, “but wasn’t that your vision”? Yes, it was. But the Bible says that when she and I got married, and consummated that marriage, we became one. So her visions are mine and my visions are hers because we are one. God’s Kingdom works that way.
